Although he may be phasing out of captivating young audiences in his beloved vampire role, Robert Pattinson had no trouble mustering up a frenzy as he was called upon to accept an award at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.
The “Water for Elephants” stud looked relaxed in skinny jeans and a black zip-up jacket as he made his way to claim two surfboard prizes alongside his “Twilight” co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
After accepting the coveted Ultimate Choice Award for “Twilight”, Robert handed the massive surfboard to a few audience members near the stage as a thanks to his avid fans while saying, “It’s not that I don’t appreciate it.” Influenced by the gesture, Pattinson’s co-star girlfriend Miss Stewart proceeded to follow suit while doting her surfboard to audience members, as well.
Later on in the ceremony, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner were honored with a second surfboard accolade as they collected Choice Movie: Romance for their franchise’s most recent release, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1”.
Giving a little insight as to what fans can expect to see in “Breaking Dawn Part 2”, Rob recently told reporters at this year’s Comic-Con, “I read the script before I read the book and it’s slightly different from the book because there really isn’t a battle scene in the book, and I started reading it and people started dying and everything,” adding, “This is the strangest ending to the series that I could have possibly imagined.”
