Spending the weekend flying the friendly skies, Rooney Mara was spotted prepping for departure out of LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday afternoon (January 28).
The rising star toted her luggage into the terminal and up to the security checkpoint, with the out of town travels coming as Mara surprisingly was left out of the nominations for tomorrow night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.
And while she may not be among the SAG contenders, Miss Mara is gearing up for next month’s Academy Awards – as she’s competing against Glenn Close, Viola Davis, Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams for Actress in a Leading Role.
Having been nominated for her work as Lisabeth Salander in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” the 26-year-old told press on the day in which the nominees were announced, “I knew it was happening this morning I just didn’t want to wake up for it because I wasn’t expecting it. I was really surprised and excited.”
